Give Us Liberty
I have been reading American Revolution by Gordon S. Wood. I think only an historian of Wood’s caliber could write such a brief book on such a large subject. I reached the mention of the Committees of Correspondence and I was once again amazed at the accomplishments of our Founders. It seems like such a small thing, letters being passed back and forth describing the grievances of monarchy and the plans for a Republic. Yet from this small thing the world was forever altered. I thought to myself such a thing could never happen now. But then I had to catch myself. What is the blogosphere after all? Those of like mind corresponding and linking expressing their ideals of liberty, or in the case of Kos tyranny disguised as liberty. We have started are own Committees of Correspondence gentleman. Where it may lead Providence alone can tell.

Committees of Correspondence is a good description of what we are trying to bring to discourse on the Internet.
For anybody who desires an e-book of Gordon S. Wood’s The American Revolution it is available at ereader.com.
BTW, I’m a spy at daily kos where my nickname is “Steddy Byrd.” I had attempted to explain to those radical left-wingers but their instant complaints are intolerable.
