The Kossing of America: Shrills and Self-destructive
It took the Conservative Movement nearly a quarter of a century to talk forlornly of a reversal of fortune. The Liberals are already whining after only eight months in power. Shawn Macomber has been blogging for the AmSpecBlog this weekend at the YearlyKos convention in Chicago. The radical left-wing according to him are dismayed at their congressional leaders for failing to obey.
an audience member asked how panel members propose holding representatives accountable “without looking like all we’re doing is being shrill and self-destructive.”“That’s our job,” blogger Jane Hamsher, aka Firedoglake, retorted. “We’re supposed to be shrill and self-destructive….We’re going to stand on principle and hold that line because if we don’t nobody does it.”
I thought the 2006 election was all about the Iraqi battle in the War on Terrorism. Macomber tells us of a “popular panel [at the convention]: “Three People Who Helped Change Congress,” featured S.R. Siddarth (the intern George Allen called macaca), Mike Stark (the man roughed up by Allen campaign staffers) and Lane Hudson (the leaker of Mark Foley’s naughty emails).” I guess the media got it wrong again.
