Dems Polarizing? Who would have thought

National Review Online linked to this story about Indiana Dumocrats are worried about Senator Rodham on the top of the ticket. It seems the Democrats are worried that the senator is a “polarizing figure.” My question is can you name a Dumocrat who isn’t polarizing? That’s their whole schtick. Since FDR the Dems have have been about exploiting class envy and racial divisions. (Of course in the ’40-’60s the Dems were exploiting racial divisions by appealing to white bigots.) Edwards is going around the country saying there are two Americas. Isn’t that a tad bit polarizing? Obama’s only in this race because his skin is the color of a Starbucks frappacino. Isn’t that a tad bit polarizing? The Dems have been polarizing this country at least since they fired on Ft. Sumter. Senator Rodham is just a tad bit more honest about it.

Next to your linked article was another one link to a Kurt Erickson‘s article about Illinois’ Democraps. I reading about a so-called “reform” Democrat who won the the Illinois Governorship, Dan Walker. He fought against the corrupt Daley machine in Cook County. Walker mentions the Governor before him, “Republican” Richard Ogilvie1, created that State’s first income tax but he never understood why the Republican Chicago-suburbs voted for him — they kicked out a Republican who raised taxes! I shall be reviewing this book shortly.

1Illinoisan Republicans kowtow to the little Richie Daley machine.
