Sometimes you must go to war — Somethings you can’t discuss with some people

Some of us think we must listen to the madness of a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Here in Milwaukee there was a local bund in the pre-WW2 years who listen to the madness of Hitler. This week PBS [schedule] is running a Ken Burn’s movie “THE WAR.” It is about four American cities through the war. I watched the first part last night. I was taken aback at how unprepared the United States was for war when it was foisted upon us. I came away wondering when the radical left-wing will wake up and they realize their civil liberties and rights are depended upon the U.S. only. I’m grateful for our parents, grandparents, and uncles who were not afraid to defend and to protect our nation.

The War - A Ken Burns Film - Directed & Produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick - THE WAR is the story of the Second World War through the personal accounts of a handful of men and women from four American towns. The war touched the lives of every family on every street in every town in America and demonstrated that in extraordinary times, there are no ordinary lives.
