The Fog of Fire
We spoke to our next door neighbor. He said that a fire truck when through our neighborhood telling people to leave. There was no sign of our neighborhood being on the evac or return lists. So we called the local sheriff’s office and they said our neighborhood was not evacuated in fact no one in our city was evacuated. All very unclear. Here in Orange County all we get are LA news and they are barely mentioning the San Diego fires. But we know the fire never got to our little corner of the county that is definite. In fact it never made it to the coastal areas that were being threatened. At least not yet I guess I should say. Well we are going home tomorrow and will be able to see for ourselves.
The Young Prince thinks this is all a grand adventure. At dinner tonight we split a brownie hot fudge sundae and he said “this is the best disaster ever.”
