Arguing with a Paper Cup
Stopped by Starbucks for a cup of tea. The cup had a quote from former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright:
“There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
Ignore the fact that if a conservative had said that, every liberal would be up in arms about the intolerance of the religous right. Let’s take former Secretary Albright at her word. Wouldn’t that mean that satan is heating up the coals for a woman who refused to do anything about the Taliban while she was the chief diplomat of the most powerful nation on earth? And Albright meekly let Sadam kick UN inspectors out of Iraq and did nothing about his rape rooms or children’s gulag. Wouldn’t that get you a one way ticket to the hot place according to Albright’s quote? And what about serving a man who ruined women’s lives because they dared say no to his sick advances? Ain’t Kathleen Wiley and Paula Jones a woman?
