University of Delaware “Dumps” Thought Reform Program
While the radical left whines President Bush would violate their constitutional rights, their political cohorts are doing just that on the college campuses. ideological reeducation program. It sounds like a program created by the gratefully dead, Russian-backed Cambodian communist-leader Pol Pot. The radical left and their political party, the Democrats, couldn’t recognize civil rights or liberty violation unless painted with political-correct verbiage.
There is good news. The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education is a watch-dog on attempts to re-educate instead of educate on the American campuses. (See THE FIRE: Defending individual rights in higher education.)
The Fire.org has forced the University of Delaware to suspend its Thought Reform Program. I fear the University is just re-grouping and re-wording their re-education plans. U.D. President Patrick Harker’s excuse for being found out on his school’s program, “I have directed that the program be stopped immediately. No further activities under the current framework will be conducted (Emphasis Mine).” [insert R.O.F.L.]
The Fire.org may be another source in any family of college-bound students when they are deciding upon colleges.
