Happy Thanksgiving
Our family signed up to be part of the Armed Forces Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Hosts. Families sign up to invite service members stationed here in San Diego into their own home for Thanksgiving. We signed up but we will not have a service member joining us because every year they get many more families volunteering then they have soldiers in need of a place to go. My son is greatly disappointed that we won’t have a “real soldier” joining us. But I am so glad to know that every service member who wants a host has one, and that the neighbors in my hometown are so anxious to support our service people. On this day above all others it is good to know there are so many people in this country who understand it and value it.
