This past year I have subscribed to several of the presidential candidates website in order to be to blog about them. Just a few moments ago Mike
Huckaberry sent an e-mail asking for signatures on petition to John McCain..
Huckaberry wants a Lincoln-Douglas style debate before the March primaries in Texas and Ohio. See the Huckaberry website for the petition and comments attached to it.

As much as a Lincoln-Douglas debate is a great idea, it seems a bit too late. In particular since McCain won the nomination after the Wisconsin primary. Add Mitt Romney’s delegates and several other ex-candidates’ to McCain’s total and we see Huckaberry is spitting into the wind.

I would like to see McCain (Lincoln) – Obama (Douglas) debate. One debate for each issue. Debates without the mindless control of talkative t-v reporters. Now that is real change instead of mere talk of dreaming hope without a chance of action.
