Madison Town Hall Meetup met cyberly

Five Conservatives of the Dane County Town Hall converse through various Internet related communications last night. Although there were some problems their first attempt had shown it was possible to hold meetings off-site. The Five used a combination of text-messaging, instant messaging (aim, msn, gmail, and yahoo), and their private Yahoo! Group called ‘Madison Townhall’ (formed originally by request of townhall.com when they had failingly attempted to create local action groups called town squares). With such diverse usage of communication-tools last night, cyber-meetup taught them of a need for a liaison-agent to forward comment among the participants of the meeting. Since the scribe, Steddy, has the tools on his mobile (Blackberry not Iphone though the latter may also work) he should develop coordinating live meet up commentary quickly: a possible usage of the Yahoo! Group as the central cyber-meeting place.

Only issue facing Wisconsians this Spring is the election to the Supreme Court. Should Justices Butler be re-elected or should Judge Gableman replace him
on the high bench? Most of those who answered the txt-msg were for Gableman since he was better for limited government in his decisions. On the election campaign while both candidates disapprove of third-party ads Butler suggested governmental interference in free speech to curb nasty political ads; Gableman just wishes those third-parties would go away.
