But That’s The Whole Point
According to Senator Obama people without economic opportunity or cradle to grave government social programs bitterly cling to God and guns. Well duh!! That Senator is the whole point of the whole country. The idea of this nation was not that a nanny state would cradle us in a giant web of social guarantees, and restrictions. The point of the this country is that the government will guarantee us certain inalienable rights, amongst these freedom of religion and the right to bear arms, and then get out of our way.
Without meaning to, or knowing it, Senator uniter has perfectly expressed why we are two countries. For some of us this is the country of liberty and opportunity, the government should guarantee our rights and get out of our way. This was a revolutionary concept in 1776, and still is to most of the world today. You need not even look at an absolute despotism such as China to see how revolutionary this country is. Just look at how distressing the concept of Free Speech is to our neighbor to the north.
But instead of clinging to our Constitutional rights and the God from which these rights come, Senator Obama wants us to cling to …. government programs?
Excuse me while I engage in some bitter clinging. Please God don’t let this man become President.
