You could have knocked me over with a feather when ex-conservative George Will called Obama “the most grown up candidate.” The emptiness of Obama’s rhetoric is as adolescent as a Hannah Montana song. Now that the bloom is off the rose and Obama has stated as clear as day that he is another big government, American bashing far left radical does Mr. Will still want to call him a “grown up.”
As PJ O’Rourke said years ago liberalism is the philosophy of the two year old.

It would appear that Mr. Will has modified his ideas about the “only grown up” running for President.

Statements such as Will etc makes one wonder about our thinking we were exceptional people in history. Were we just lucky in the past in avoiding dictators? Are we more like the ancient Israelites who constantly drifted toward materalism and away from their G_d?
