Beware: Change is Not Reform


Gerhard Spörl has decided the American election in her Der Spiegal Online piece, No. 44 Has Spoken: “Europe is witnessing the 44th president of the United States during this trip.” Of course, Germans do tend toward demi-gods. Hat-tip to Mark Hemingway at National Review Corner responded to Gerhard’s delusion, “This must have been a difficult column to write, as I imagine it was cramped inside Obama’s posterior[emphasis mine].

We did learn from Barry Obama’s Berlin campaign speech what his hope of “change we can believe in.” He told us “we are a people of improbable hope. Yep! That change is replacing the corruptors of Washington D.C. with the corruptors of the Chicago Machine!
