Vast Right Wing Conspiracy
Like every conservative I speak of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy with tongue dripped in sarcasm. Here are the Dems shaking in their boots over those nasty right wingers, while the nasty right wingers are bashing each other over the head over whether or not Edmund Burke was a “crunchy conservative” (he wasn’t.) The reason there isn’t a VRWC is of course because we conservatives can not cooperate with each other long enough to conspire to do anything.
Fiscal conservatives, allegedly like California’s own governor, are so busy proving they aren’t those mean old social conservatives that they throw fiscal responsibility out the window in their mad desire to embrace social liberalism, and all it’s costs. So we throw millions the state doesn’t have at a stem cell research lab, which a conservative would leave to the private sector. All so the Governorator can prove his social liberal bona fides. One of my favorite blogs Little Green Footballs has to take potshots at creationists every chance they get. But aren’t conservatives supposed to believe in local control of schools and parental control of their kids’ education? That means if a parent wants to teach their kid Darwin they can and if they want to teach ID they can. (Personally I don’t give a darn which is taught in the schools cause I homeschool my son.) Libertarian conservatives so busy holding their noses at pro-life conservatives and immigration restrictionists, they don’t notice that every year Tax Freedom day gets later and later.
If we could only fight as strongly and determinedly against liberals as we do against each other we might have a shot at getting big government out of all our lives, fiscally, socially, any other way. But just as the Civil War was the deadliest in our Nation’s history, so too is the in-fighting amongst conservatives far worse than whatever we do or say about liberals. Family feuds are always more passionate and therefore more violent.
If conservatives ever did stop fighting amongst themselves and battle liberals instead we would have true Federalism, parental control of school curriculum’s and a flat tax. But no, better Obama and tax increases then ever live and let other conservatives live.
