How Is This Possible

The buckets of rain that are flooding the dried up drought ridden fields of Southern California is accompanied by icy blasts of wind.  Usually rain is a mild affair around here, it is often warmer during rain storms than during droughts.  But this storm is from the arctic and it is cold with snow levels down to the foothills.

How can this be possible?  Vice President Gore has assured us all that the arctic is melting away with glaciers and polar bears going extinct.  How can arctic blasts cut through three layers of rain gear to freeze your marrow when the Arctic is during into a tropical zone even as we speak.  I am so confused.   Well someone is confused.
