Liberals Never Had Principles
The one thing the last ten years really should have made clear by now is that liberals never had principles. Don Surber http://blogs.dailymail.com/donsurber/2009/02/06/feministeria/ wonders about that since Ellen Goodman has now decided that reproductive freedom should be abolished. But feminists made clear their opposition to their own stated principles with the “one free grope” rule for President Clinton. Watching liberals protest in favor of those who commit honor killing and execute gays should have been the final nail in the “liberals have principles” coffin.
It has never been about principles for liberals, it has been about power. Civil rights, gay rights, women’s rights are just smokescreens for their true agenda. They want to run other people’s lives, they want other people to do what they say, and that is all there is to it. FDR soothed southern Democrats by refusing to touch segregation or lynching. In return southern Democrats supported the New deal. Then Eleanor went around the country weeping for the “colored people.” The country got its first launch into socialism and integration got pushed back a couple of decades. Its always been a scam.
