Pandering Is Not Working Out For Us
When the people of California futilely attempted to end welfare payments to illegal aliens Bill Bennet and Jack Kemp fretted over the Hispanic vote. It is the same issue today whenever the idea is floated that people who have criminally entered our country should not be here. “What about the Hispanic vote” wail the RINO’s.
Of all the ridiculous reasons for not doing the right thing, the idea that doing wrong will win us minority votes is the most ridiculous. After all for over a century the GOP did right and lost the minority vote that owes us the most.
The Republican Party was founded to support abolition and end the “era of good feelings” that was built on the backs of slaves. We abolished slavery. We forced the defeated Confederacy to allow the freed slaves the right to vote. In the 20′s the reviled Harding and Calvin Coolidge started our nation’s first anti-lynching program. In the 60′s the GOP passed the Civil Rights Act despite the Democrats filibuster led by Al Gore, Sr. For all this we received a 90% monolithic black voting bloc for the Democratic party.
We did what was right for black Americans because it was right. Now we are attempting to do wrong for Hispanics to win their votes. If freeing black Americans and ensuring their civil rights didn’t get us their vote I don’t know why we imagine we can win the Hispanic vote. Carving up the country by race, class, sex and color and stitching a majority of votes is the Democrats game. Everytime the GOP tries to play that game we lose.
The idea that attempting to end the rampant scourge of drugs, criminal gangs and Hezbollah terrorists flooding in from our southern border will lose us the Hispanic vote is nonsense. The Democrats will have that vote whether we do the right thing or the wrong. So let’s do the right thing and enforce the law.

Hell, the hispanics who can /vote/ (that is, the ones who went through the legal process to obtain citizenship) are among those most /against/ amnesty!
