The Audacity of Bigotry
Jimmy Carter says that opposition to Obama’s policies is racist. That would be the same Jimmy Carter who wrote a book so filled with anti-Jewish bigotry members of his own board of directors resigned. “Palestine, Peace Not Apartheid” was so anti-Jewish 14 members of the Carter Center Advisory Board resigned in protest http://www.adl.org/main_Israel/carter_center_resignations.htm . Now this blantanly anti-Jewish man is calling the rest of the country racist. That’s the pot calling the wedding dress black.
The ugly truth is that, contrary to the racism meme, Obama’s popularity in the first place was only because of his skin color. People felt obligated to like the black guy so they wouldn’t be, gasp, shudder, horror a racist! The fact that such an attitude is condescending and belittling never enters anyone’s mind. But all along, even last year when he was elected President, Obama’s policies were always less popular than Obama. Every poll showed people liking Obama but not anything Obama was doing. That’s why there are so many forehead shaped dents in my wall. This summer Obama’s personal popularity has finally started to reflect his political popularity, not because, but despite of his skin color.
If only someone had warned us that once Obama was President the cries of racism would go out constantly. Why didn’t anyone tell us this would happen? Oh wait “someone” did: http://marlettsmith.com/blog/index.php/2008/08/13/the-stupidest-thing-you-will-read-on-the-internet-today/
