Setting Your Watch By Them

One can set your watch, time-piece, smart-phone clock, sun dials by them. The atheists are back; back more aggressively this year with public displays why we believers are idiots. I wonder if the ideal of atheism of no public display of any faith traditions would be good public policy? Is a public policy of moral relativism the ideal for any society? No on both questions.

Left to individual decision society will suffer convenient hedonism. For the latter 20th Century we have drifted toward too many bill clintons excusing their limited, “self-painless” pleasures as ‘it depends on what is is.’

If everyman’s decision is no more wrong than another’s, then why swear to protect and defend a two hundred yesr old plus contract between States?

The pepsi generation of do you own thing, if it feels good do it, kwel man is barbaric. It is too back to nature. Michael Creigton in his novel on the ecology religion, The State of Fear, wrote, “civilization is what keeps us safe from nature.” I want civilization; I want the real thing.

I return to the second day of Christmas. Blessing of His grace of peace to you.
