Come Nineveh, Come Tyre
@BarackObama is in eastern Europe signing anti-nuclear treaty with Russia. He is reminding me of a fictional character from Allen Drury’s series Advise and Consent: President Edward Montoya Jason of California. The ending may be our prelude:
All, all had gone wrong for the President of the United States.
And not from evil intentions.
But from good intentions, foolishly applied.
And so America in her turn learned the lesson:
Great states are brought down, great nations are humbled, great
dreams are destroyed.
It can happen here.
No one had ever really believed it.
Until now.
