Enough Already
Professor Hanson says everything so much better than I ever could I don’t know why I blog instead of just posting links to him.
We are reaching the point where the damage done to America’s image by 50 book-burners is outweighed by the damage done by hypersensitivity on the part of the United States government, which hopes to assuage the hurt feelings of those abroad who equate that tiny number with our culture at large — often in an abjectly hypocritical fashion. We know where this leads — to endless efforts to micromanage all elements of American life to protect the sensitivities of those who, by act and deed, are far more intolerant of different religions and cultures.

the reason I am against our joining into these tis-so/tis-not kiddies’ s games is because it belittles ourselves. be it burning books or drawing insulting pictures, when one joins the mob-mentality then one’s will find the next stupidy easier to do.
it took decades to teach Germans that Jewish Germans were lesser humans. they were taught by little tis-so/tis-not games.
it isn’t about the right to say or do, we are being taught too hate. I won’ t play.
