It’s all about double standards


It almost always is. In the case of the “Ground Zero Mosque” debate however, this quickly gets lost amongst the “we have a right to build it” vs. the “it’s hallowed ground, move it” arguments.

Sure, they may indeed have the right to build there, but the key really is this: they ask — nay, insist — that we not offend THEIR sensibilities, but are free to ignore our sensibilities, and even to call them bigoted and unreasonable.
