Many people are astonished today to discover that NPR is loaded with anti-Christian and anti-Jewish bigots. I am astonished at the astonishment. The Left is overflowing with demagoguery, anti-Western values and demonizing their opposition. We KNOW this. We’ve known this for years. Yes now we have recorded evidence and that is great. But there was nothing new or surprising in Mr. O’Keefe’s latest, brilliant, sting operation.

Blood Libel Irony

As an official Jewish mother I find nothing wrong with Sarah Palin describing what has been done to her as a Blood Libel. Blood Libel is the false accusation of murders. For millenia it has been the tool the Jew hater has used against the Jewish people. It is still the tool used to this very day routinely against the state of Israel. For the last 5 days it has been the tool used against Gov. Palin.

The irony of course is that the people now accusing Gov. Palin of falsely claiming blood libel are the same people who have used the blood libel against Israel: in the Durah hoax, the Jenin myth, and never ending list of “atrocities” that never happened. Gov. Palin and the state of Israel have the same enemies, using the same tools.

Welcome to the club Governor. I was born into it, but you had to work to get here. I salute you.

The Rump Party

So now that we’ve, or rather Minnesota and Wisconsin, established that the GOP will not be a rump party confined to the south, when do we see the stories about the Democrat Rump Party? Will the MSM be reporting that the Democrats are now confined only to most of the Northeast and, God help me, California? Will there be books on the transformation of the Democrats to a small regional party?

I don’t think so either. I just wanted to ask the question.

Yes The Earth Moved

The windows rattled for a few seconds and stopped. About ten seconds later the windows rattled louder, the whole house shook, and the cats fled upstairs to hide under the bed. This went on for what felt like a whole minute. It was easily the strongest earthquake I have felt since the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 http://pubs.usgs.gov/dds/dds-29/, that was the earthquake that shut down the World Series, so naturally I was concerned. My family is down in San Diego today at Balboa Park so the first thing I did was call and check on them. They were just fine, but couldn’t talk because BurkeanSon wanted to get to a museum before it closed. My son knows his priorities.

I turned on my tv to find out what was going on. ALL the local stations were broadcasting infomercials and wouldn’t interrupt them for the earthquake. I was dumbfounded. The first thing you are supposed to do during a natural disaster is check local news for information. The hole of obsolesce old media is digging for itself got a lot bigger today. The ONE thing tv news ever had going for it was immediacy. If they’ve lost that, they have no reason to exist.
