     In the early 1990s,the members of Townhall BBS and Townhall CompuServe would meet occasionally in regional “Town Hall Gatherings.” In 2006, townhall.com attempted through meetup.com and TownSquares to re-create these gatherings. Despite the abandonment by townhall.com the gatherings still exists.
